# Fiat Onramp

> How the optional Coinbase-hosted purchase flow connects to an o1 Mobile wallet.

o1 Mobile can open a Coinbase-hosted fiat onramp for eligible users and
regions. This is an optional funding method, not an o1-operated exchange or
payment flow.

## How it works

<Steps>
  <Step title="Choose Deposit">
    Open a deposit flow from the cash balance or another available entry point.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select the Coinbase option">
    o1 Mobile requests a hosted onramp URL configured to deliver USDC to the
    user's Base wallet.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Continue in the browser authentication session">
    Complete the Coinbase-hosted flow in an operating-system browser
    authentication session, not an embedded trading WebView.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Return to the app">
    After the purchase or transfer completes, the wallet balance updates when
    the network transaction and account data are available.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Third-party service

Coinbase determines:

* supported countries and regions;
* identity-verification requirements;
* accepted payment methods;
* purchase limits;
* payment and service fees; and
* transaction approval or rejection.

o1 does not collect payment-card details in the native mobile interface.

<Note>
  Payment methods such as cards, bank transfers, Apple Pay, or other wallets
  depend on the options Coinbase presents for the user's location and account.
</Note>

## Alternative: crypto deposit

Users can also fund the in-app cash balance by sending USDC on Base from
another wallet or exchange. Verify the asset, network, and destination address
before sending.
